We've been in Krakow for almost a week now, and I am embarrassed by how excited people are about us having learned how to say "hello", "thank you", and "goodbye" in Polish. Really, people asked me how I learned so much Polish because I could say those phrases, badly. It's humiliating.
I can say these phrases in German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Czech, and a few other languages. How bad are the average tourists to Poland that you make such a fuzz out of this?t's embarrassing

@tatzelbrumm See, you answer me in a dozen Polish words, and I only understand three of them because that is already two leagues above my ability. All I can reply is "nie rozumiem po polsku." And the people here are enthusiastic about me doing so!
