I'm convinced that the self-appropriated right of the leaders to disregard and cancel verifiable facts (as opposed to "unicorns") that they deemed
"incredibly offensive"
all but sank a cooperative we are both still involved in.

If you don't want to lose everything that's dear to you
(well, in your case, it was only money you didn't nteed that badly, anyhow),
the only sane thing to do is to reject, categorically, any suggestive question like:
"Don't you realize you're being incredibly offensive?"

The (only?) sane answer is:
"I realize that you are pssive-aggessively trying to assert dominance by claiming that your feelings are more important than my facts. I categorically reject your offensive, totalitarian claim."
