Ok, just curious - how many folks bet is actually headed to trillion $ coin solution?

Well, 100% (N=1) vote 'no'. I guess that settles it!

Interesting discussion of a somewhat more scientific poll on this topic than mine: "The coin is more popular than Vladimir Putin" bloomberg.com/news/newsletters

(My non-economist wife's reaction is in line with the broader poll results- she was completely unaware of this possibility until I described it last week, and then she thought it was crazy. )

But I'm telling you, I think there's a larger probability of this happening than the average person appreciates...

@thekazath I wish it were headed that way to stop this debt ceiling nonsense once and for all.

@ChemBob the absurdity of this solution is only matched by the absurdity of the manufactured crisis

@thekazath The point is that they’ve already spent the money, so there shouldn’t even be a discussion of a debt ceiling, because the Constitution requires us to pay the bills. The trillion dollar coin is a great comeback to counter the Republicans who continuously hold the country hostage, other than when Donald Trump was spending money; which didn’t bother them at all.
