1. Isn't that the point? That's like saying America is illegal because the British Crown didn't approve.
2. But there were. You might not agree with their politics but there were international observers present and they had relevant political backgrounds.

3. The polite men were there to protect Crimeans from being coerced to voting against joining the federation though. I'm sure you've seen the pictures. The Crimeans didn't seem to object to them.
4. I wish the UN were the final authority on these matters because they also don't recognize Taiwan as a country.

But man the worst is the 50% of business has been been closed becuase of sanctions. Our economics is under a high pressure. Remember that our country is raw materials economy. Summing all the things up + nepoty + no people rights... We're in the shit

But that’s the whole thing… Ukraine was doomed either way. Going back to Yanukovic, it seemed like Ukraine had two paths. The EU route which required lots of concessions and no actual guarantee they’d be accepted into the EU let alone soon. Or the gas deal with Russia which had no strings attached and got money right away. Then the Euromaidan happened and Yanukovic had to leave. From what little I know… Ukraine is mostly agricultural which is why the Party of Regions is a good party to represent Ukrainians and not the people in Kiev that just want to join the EU so they can move to western Europe and abandon their country.

I imagine that Crimea and Donetsk and Luhansk knew this but they’d seen what happens to non-western European countries that join the EU and wanted nothing to do with globohomo.

Sanctions suck but you can’t blame anybody for it but the western countries that impose them.

Yes. I think something like 3% of Crimeans. The other 97%, however did and you must respect the majority.
