I went to visit Saint Luis University in Baguio City, one of the best schools in the region and the only one offering BSEE in Baguio.
Some of the early brutal DOS era PC viruses were made by students from here 😅
I need to come visit again but I heard classes start early in the morning from 7:30 am to 8 pm and include engineering classes.
That gives me a range of courses for the morning classes.
So yes, I'm moving to Baguio soon. Not sure if I can process everything for the upcoming second semester but worst I'll be in by next year first semester.
They got a better curricula and the only downside I can see is that the university is Catholic so there are catholicism subjects but it's no biggy.
They separated pre-calc as a course and mathematics in modern world is also a separate course which makes much sense.
If I go transfer to SLU after my first semester in the University of Pangasinan then I will be required to take up pre-calc which will make me learn algebra and trigo again 😅 but differential calculus is already taken and integral calculus will be taken on the summer.
Not bad.
Let me think about it if it's better to move here to my birthplace.
Less class suspension, less power and internet interruption, and my runnings will be on a different level here because running in mountains trains the body differently making one much stronger than near sea level.
Less corrosion of metals too so my sports car will live better here.
The only university that is offering a BSEE is SLU.
I kept coming frequently to Baguio which makes me think if it's better for me to move here and have my cottage back at the beach as a beach rest house instead.
Setting up a garage will cost me but here in Baguio I don't need to set up a garage as I can rent here at the outskirts with a garage already.
Power and internet interruptions have been more frequent too at Lingayen which is unattractive for people like me that need power and internet for work.
Been a while since my last eKart practice at the SM North ekart circuit, the narrowest in PH so far. Some people say it's the Monaco circuit of eKarts 😅
Today I managed to visit PH biggest indor eKart circuit at Dagupan and took 3 session of 10mins each.
One thing I noticed after the lap was that the car was begging for speed and acceleration but it felt capped. Turns out I got a challenge to tackle that time. I had to break time based on my weight. So the second lap I was concentrating on cutting seconds and instead of driving on the outer lane had to tackle the inner lane and negotiating the apex. It turns out the first lap was kinda warm up getting back on the wheels after quite some time. Now the second lap was focused on cutting seconds from my best lap.
After the second lap I rested for a bit while I waited for a group of drivers to finish their 1 session of 10mins run, their group was around 6 or 8 drivers.
The third lap was intense as I followed the coaching of one of the crew and the main idea because of the capped speed and acceleration is for me to get so close to the inner barricades if I can do an inch distance the better but that is too much risk, so I stayed for about 3 to 4 inches from the barricade while driving the inner lane. I stopped using the brakes and went into the "zone" and felt the timing of the inner front tires when turning on the Apex so I can turn swiftly without hitting the apex corner and without braking.
The third lap was a success and I managed to break the blue speed unlocked 🔓. So that means I still need to complete one more session using the capped speed and acceleration and after that my car's speed will be unlocked.
Will join their competition from time to time especially the Dagupas Bangus day one where a consistent race event is held.
I am big fan of formula 1 racing but I also know it's the sports for the elite so I am just staying on the karts. By the time I get to establish the company for defense and energy then I'll build a team for formula 4 and move from there going to F3, F2, and finally someday F1 😅
New running shoe is dictating my running gait. Felt muscle pains on new areas but I think this is better because the shoe is forcing me for optimal gait suited for my forefoot landings.
Did a 21km run around noon time at 40.7 °C and was supposed to be 30km but my calves started getting cramps so I cancelled the 30km and only settled for 21km.
