The system that my master learned from a Japanese master has no name but later the Filipino community probably expounded it and added Judo in the name and kept the original as the elite system and only taught to a few while the watered down version was the one generally taught to the public.
The second one originated from different indigenous Filipino Martial Arts including Cinko Teros and Balintawak and was fused together and the name is a giveaway for a quick close quarter battle.
The latter was the system taught to me last Sunday but the former was the system taught to me since March.
Some bruises on arm pressure points started showing up this morning after the training last Sunday.
Turns out my master's martial arts teacher was the tall guy that looks like a marine fresh from the basic school.
The lessons were counters on the 4 gates and it reestablished my understanding of the fundamentals. While the master taught me last time, now it is his teacher that deepens my understanding of the principles and actuals of these counter strikes.
From these fundamental moves I can deviate and transition to more lethal moves like breaking bones or hitting vital spots.
