Not sure what happened. I just rearranged my PC and suddenly I got an Internet connection.

Preparing for a long run this noon with a bigger hydration bladder.

My 20 feet LAN cable connects my internet modem from my sisters' house to my cottage hut's Wifi router now doesn't work.

I need to get a replacement tomorrow.

Back at the university I noticed that classmates studied how to use the calculator to solve derivatives instead of doing it manual which is a fatal mistake. The result is that it didn't help them in the exam and those who studied manually have more leverage because they understand the exam questions more.

I'd say the cramming study on derivatives of transcendental functions helped me a lot in the exams as a fair amount of questions related to it was there in the exam.

Finals exam finished today. Chemistry was fairly difficult but the differential calculus was a comprehensive exam and was monstrous.

Consolation is that it's finished now except for that 102 and 100 question problem sets which the class bargains for so it was moved for submission by Monday defeating its purpose as a review tool before the exam and now we still have to submit it even though the exam is already finished.

Math class gave a 102 and 100 questions two problem sets for differential calculus and the purpose is review.

The problem is I don't have time to solve it considering I still need to review for Chemistry and Math for both's exam tomorrow and I have an 8 hour work can't go on leave.

Finished the very long quiz for the finals for differential calculus.

Sent an email this morning to SLU Baguio. Hoping my IEEE email works because sometimes it's not able to receive incoming emails due to restrictive security policy set by the organization.

Then I'll do a follow up.

One thing that might also give value for me to transfer to SLU apart from making a lot of things easier for me is that they might credit some of the courses that was not credited by the University of Pangasinan.

For example I got tons of
English courses already like 9 of them but none was credited and instead I was made to take purposive communication which is very familiar already. Then my 4 PE courses from BS Computer Science was not credited which doesn't make sense and they want me to take 4 PE courses which doesn't give value for me because apart from the fact that I have finished it already majority of the PE courses is aimed to develop a students physical well being, athletism, and familiarity with the arnis martial arts in which all these ticks for me already.

So let see if SLU will credit my PE and maybe on programming course for BSEE because coming from BSCS I got tons of programming courses already.

Home sweet home at the beach area. Good that the internet is back and didn't have to make it until 36 hrs.

On the other hand I briefly took a look at Elon Musks' Starlink but there is an article that was released implying that Starlink is slower than local ISPs in the country.

Maybe I need to get a demo to see the actual speeds.

Ended up eating at McDonalds because resto and other food areas are already closed midnight.

Outside looking for a place this midnight and it's damn cold at 21.4°C

Sunburn on my face starting to hurt from that 21km run under the sun last time 😅

I went to visit Saint Luis University in Baguio City, one of the best schools in the region and the only one offering BSEE in Baguio.

Some of the early brutal DOS era PC viruses were made by students from here 😅

I need to come visit again but I heard classes start early in the morning from 7:30 am to 8 pm and include engineering classes.

That gives me a range of courses for the morning classes.

So yes, I'm moving to Baguio soon. Not sure if I can process everything for the upcoming second semester but worst I'll be in by next year first semester.

For a long time I stayed at places where it is shielded from the effects of nature and focused at work.

Although I love the beach in Lingayen, it's been a hassle lately dealing with the place's floods, more frequent power outages, and just yesterday a 36 hrs internet interruption.

Scuba diving is also near at San Juan in La Union which is a surfing destination too.

They got a better curricula and the only downside I can see is that the university is Catholic so there are catholicism subjects but it's no biggy.

They separated pre-calc as a course and mathematics in modern world is also a separate course which makes much sense.

If I go transfer to SLU after my first semester in the University of Pangasinan then I will be required to take up pre-calc which will make me learn algebra and trigo again 😅 but differential calculus is already taken and integral calculus will be taken on the summer.

Not bad.

Let me think about it if it's better to move here to my birthplace.

Less class suspension, less power and internet interruption, and my runnings will be on a different level here because running in mountains trains the body differently making one much stronger than near sea level.

Less corrosion of metals too so my sports car will live better here.

The only university that is offering a BSEE is SLU.

In terms of academics, colleges here have less suspension of classes while at UPang it's like we have been to a long vacation 😅

I kept coming frequently to Baguio which makes me think if it's better for me to move here and have my cottage back at the beach as a beach rest house instead.

Setting up a garage will cost me but here in Baguio I don't need to set up a garage as I can rent here at the outskirts with a garage already.

Power and internet interruptions have been more frequent too at Lingayen which is unattractive for people like me that need power and internet for work.

I'll be two nights in Baguio then will move my travel to Manila to next week.
