I know some folks hate Reddit with a passion but, as a mode of social interaction, I find the 'topic-oriented communities with an account that can move between them' model invaluable.
It's a great way to stay up to date with the comings and goings of communities I care about without needing to (a) remain glued to an overwhelming linear feed like Mastodon that aggregates *everything* or (b) sign up to hundreds of smaller forums or curate single-source RSS feeds.

@jsbarretto Can't find you from beehaw.org, even though I can see kbin. Can see your lemmy.ml user though. Not sure if this is a bug in the protocol or the implementation, but it's quite annoying
