I've been looking for a decent webcam to replace my crappy Genius one, and let me tell you: the PC webcam industry is embarrassing.

The camera technology has improved SO MUCH, judging by how our phones are now able to record high-fidelity 4K or even 8K at 60 FPS videos and gog knows how high-resolution photos, with auto-focus being pretty much mandatory and edging into the multifocus territory, while costing like 200 bucks for the whole package - the CPU, the memory, the screen, the modem, all that.

The most popular webcam today offers 1080p at 30 FPS while costing around 100 dollars, just for the camera. Want 4K? That's $120-150, sucka!

WHAT.

By the way, why are we calling them "web" cameras? It's just a camera with the USB connection, what's so "web" about it?
