I wrote up my proposal for news organizations (and others) to provide trustable, verifiable accounts (as much as we can, in society) for staff:
News/media organizations would stand up a Mastodon instance for staff-only, for example follow.washingtonpost.com (doesn't exist! Only an example!)
follow.washingtonpost.com inherits the trust of its parent washingtonpost.com domain. Accounts from that instance are trustable, no public signups.
First news organization to stand up its federated Mastodon server with a trustable domain (e.g. http://follow.washingtonpost.com) and accounts for its staff for people to follow gets a prize.
Also, proposal for a standardized domain for news orgs, e.g. follow.bbcnews.com, follow.nytimes.com, and/or autodiscovery of a mastodon server for a parent domain e.g. a socialnetworks.txt
Hey new folks, welcome to Mastodon! 👋 I’ve been here a while and am happy to help answer questions about life in the fediverse. More on me here. https://qoto.org/web/statuses/108206443687535140

@Danhon that said, there are some interest-based severs, in which case they’re a good candidate for a second account if you share that interest and want to compartmentalize.
@Danhon I have two Twitter accounts, actually. I follow you on my tech/work one. Incidentally, I only have one Mastodon account. I look at multiple accounts as interest based rather than just participating on different servers (what server you’re on really doesn’t matter.)
New writing from me. It’s a personal story about childhood religious indoctrination. Sorry for ruining your evening. xD https://joshuawood.substack.com/p/thief
Sharing another photo from my recent travels - the #MilkyWay rising over the "brain rock" formations in the #WhitePocket area of Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. #Photography #NightSky #Landscape #MilkyWay (I am just getting started on #pixelfed so expect to be using that more soon!)
@jaredwhite although i guess some could argue that it’s more “zen” to live fully in the now and let go of the past. 😁
@jaredwhite nice. I was thinking of doing a “now page archive” when I make the next update to mine.

@trinsec I liked both, but especially chess. Probably because I was the older sibling, lol.
