We got 20 mm of rain yesterday, so it's too wet to do really any farm work at all, and then the tractor got a flat. (TIL the old tractor we bought years ago has its tires filled with fluid, not air. Weird.)

So, today is for shovelling goat shit out of the barn stalls, which is surprisingly satisfying, especially if I have good podcasts. Any recommendations? (I love Ologies and Science Vs. and 99PI)

@Jason Makes total sense, I just had never thought about it (my partner does most of the tractoring). Guess it must be very salty or very much not water, since we've definitely used the tractor at below -30C temps and the wheels didn't behave like solid bricks

@sundogplanets @Jason the fluid is likely calcium chloride. At least that's what we used back when I was a kid growing up on a farm.
