i know this seems like a "just move" statement but its not, its just surprising that it works out this way.
plus i can't imagine the carbon footprint or how you'd actually manage a normal job there, you'd have to be setup for something really specific already
@soup_reviews i met a woman who kinda did the reverse. lived in NYC and flew to Dallas and back for a job every week. she wouldn't say what she worked on...
@soup_reviews 🤷 never asked and, sadly, I didn't keep in touch with her. I guess she liked where she lived and it made business sense to fly out every weekend?
@2ck cost of living alone makes that decision seem so damn ominous. they know the type of house they could get in texas for what they pay in new york, right?
