@heavensfeel I think you're kidding... but I've got some hope for cryptocurrency if it can be backed by actual value. iirc, cryptocurrency is mined by solving a useless but expensive-to-solve problem: it would be great if you got a coin by proving you have some actual goods or services... like a kind of technologically enhanced barter system. like, governments pay you in IOUs for government services that you can trade for other services. the currency system then becomes a system for addressing and assessing value for an exchange plus a system for retiring tokens of value (e.g., if you exchange government-service-tokens for actual government services)
I've thought about this for literally all of 8 minutes, so it's probably a dumb unworkable idea
