i do wanna get stuck into some programming sometime soon, but meatspace has been taking priority lately
i did a big political action yesterday against that mining corporation that i have been campaigning against
here is a photo of me, as well as of me and my comrades.
we leafletted tens of thousands of people going to an AFL match at the new stadium here, asking them to ditch the mining corp as their team’s major sponsor.
i don’t think i’ve ever been abused so rudely at an action, BUT we did give away thousands of our leaflets, so who are the real winners??
@vidak does handing out leaflets make a difference? do you have a way to track how many people support your organization or vote how you want or whatever after receiving a leaflet?
I'm skeptical by default since I know I'd take a leaflet from someone if they weren't too aggro (or if I think they're cute), but then throw it out once it was inconvenient to hold.
