Hey folks, we figure it's time to remind everyone about some of our rules and policies here on vis.social.

Some of them are obvious, and some might not be.

Let's start with using CWs.

#admin #mastodon #community

While "CW" is technically defined as "Content Warning", many Mastodon communities have been using it as more of a "Content Wrapper" or "subject" for posts. And they've been using it that way for years. We make the most of the tools at hand.

On vis.social, we ask for CWs on off-topic posts, especially if they are about alcohol or food.

Recently, we also asked for CWs on posts about AI (especially ChatGPT and similar tools).

ChatGPT, AI

@kristinHenry out of curiosity: why CW ChatGPT and AI specifically? Is it because they're trendy, so likely to be over-represented?
