Do #Americans know about "Peace for our time"?

TL;DR. In 1938 the British PM Neville Chamberlin negotiated a peace deal with Hitler. Hitler got to keep the Sudentenland (a chunk of Czechoslovakia), and in return Hitler promised not to invade anywhere else. Chamberlin flew back to Britain and literally waved the paper with Hitler's signature, calling it "Peace for our time". The following year Hitler invaded Poland, and WWII was on.

@tokensane I can't speak for Americans generally, but I think, yes, this is fairly well known
