That’s what his base craves, what makes him a hero to them— that he doesn’t pass on any chance to make noise and fight his enemies, no matter how useless it is or how stupid he looks. To them, that equals bravery and determination. He is performing defiance for them, and keeping his name in the news. They won’t hear the “corrupt” opinion of experts or judges about the moves anyway.
