@xianc78 Imagine living 125 years later, when "we live in a society" is a horribly overused meme and still not realising you live in a society XD Letting multi-milion populations do as they please has been historically demonstrated as a bad idea, creating the laws you now mindlessly oppose.

Large human populations are like a parasitic plague. Let them collect rainwater as they please and they'll cause drought even in a humid region. Let them fish/hunt as they please and they'll decimate local populations, leaving nothing even for themselves. Let them sell food/lemonade unsupervised and they'll cause pathogen outbreaks. This isn't hypothetical, all of these things were happening and still happen in places with not enough control over those areas.

Places you now call 3rd-world countries, apparently not realising why yours barely counts as a 1st-world one.
