Every time I see a kiosk system with Windows Embedded on it, I lose a little more hope in a sensible IT ecosystem.
For gods sake, it's spinning up an entire window management and composition stack to display a single fullscreen window. And then that window crashes or someone finds a way to escape it, and instead of restarting the whole stack it just sits there showing a Windows desktop and the incompetence of whoever was responsible for adapting it.
And then you go somewhere where half of kiosks aren't working, and it's always Windows Embedded. How are people still using this garbage?
