@BrodieOnLinux the short duration made it easier to convince others to join the protest, otherwise there would be a lot of subs not joining. It showed that the community can unite, to both Reddit and redditors, and set up a situation where the threat of a longer protest / permanent exodus is very real to everyone. Pretty good move imo.
@BrodieOnLinux yup, that's why an immediate long protest would've likely fizzled with too many communities not giving enough of a fuck to give up Reddit for who knows how long with who knows how much support from others. Now at least they know they're united.
@Amikke It's not like being a Reddit mods makes you money, this is purely a case of people being too addicted too reddit to actually do something that matters
