Normal summer weather here is 33+ C and 98% rel humidity, soooo... yep.

Here there is a legal requirement that you not kill people's power in the summer. Mainly because if the A/C goes off, people start croakin'

@amerika @dew_the_dew @thor It's illegal to rent properties without working AC here.

That's basically very close to "human right" status.

I can see why they do it. If you close up a place here without A/C in the summer, it goes up to 140 F pretty rapidly and starts to disintegrate.

Unoccupied buildings do not last long here unless made of stone. They literally fall apart as the moisture eats them alive.

Our climate is more like Vietnam than Arizona although very few know this outside of the area.

@amerika @dew_the_dew @thor Deep south here and I worry more for electronics than my comfort when the AC dies. Sweat mostly doesn't evaporate here and most clothes trap heat when they are soaked. Temperatures outside mostly top out at 100F or a little more. Humidity is 60-80% but usually 80%.

It's interesting to me how people do not understand this. You cannot just keep old computers in your garage; they decay. You either air condition stuff or it disintegrates.
