Anyone else have the issue where, despite being heterosexual, you can't do it over real girls, only anime girls?

This is a major issue.

@inference I'm pretty sure it's common. In person it would be different.

@AmpBenzScientist I find most real girls unattractive, and I am extremely picky about their traits. Even with anime, I am extremely picky, but it's a lot easier because you can just create a character if one doesn't exist.
@AmpBenzScientist Both. Just anime girls in general are cute, but I don't feel the same about 95% of girls I see IRL.

@inference It's because they aren't real. Give a real woman a try, like a relationship. You'll be surprised at how quickly the natural chemistry can change one's views. Find something you both have an interest in and enjoy it together.

@AmpBenzScientist I'm socially awkward; I can't talk about much other than logic, science, and technology in most cases. While I can talk about anything else for brief moments, I'm not into trends or typical small talk, which makes it very difficult to talk to anyone, not only girls. When I *do* find and talk to an IRL girl, I'm certainly not attractive to them and I give off a "Oh..." type of aura, which makes the 1 time I talk to a girl every year or so end badly.

@inference Just keep trying and don't be so hard on yourself. You'll eventually succeed and it will be worth the effort.

@inference It should work itself out. That's strange but I just realized that the anime I grew up on was more than a little homoerotic. It's difficult for me to imagine unrealistically attractive females in anime.

Apparently it could be worse.

@inference True attention is more than what we see. For me, I'm attracted to smart women. It's a different feeling than regular sexual attraction. Just keep an open mind and she might find you. I've made my fair share of bad decisions in regards to relationships but I don't regret them. I had no idea what I was doing but I learned from those experiences. That's how it has to be sometimes.
