@thor It takes a smart man to behave stupidly and not be harmed.
I enjoyed putting gasoline on fires and never got burned from it. I knew it was endothermic to transition to vapor phase and it took time for enough air to mix in to catch fire. The result was around a delay of approximately a second or two between adding 500ml of gasoline and the fireball that would erupt from the barrel.
I'm more environmentally conscious now and use better liquid fuels.
