@igelsQTs We have a big nation and cars have been associated with freedom. It's a way to get away from everything.

If one wanted to get deep about it, it was a metaphor about being closed minded to new experiences or fear of the unknown. He had the financial means to get a vehicle and go places but he chose not to. It's very much like his virginity.

We do love our vehicles and always have. Modifications are going to be standard on many vehicles. Fuel used to be inexpensive too so now one might as well just swap the gearing to lower rpms, turn up the boost and run more alcohol. It's not uncommon for such changes to increase fuel economy and performance.

@AmpBenzScientist If I want to see new things I hop on a train to italy or france and get off at any stop and take a walk. A trip possible within a single day.
@AmpBenzScientist I love europe. I just think the USA could be better by being more like it. Esp when it comes to urban planning and public transport.
