@thor I remember Pico 8 being on my Pocket CHIP. At the time I was intrigued by such a concept. I've seen it even extend to PS1 and N64.

One positive part of the masses taking a hit from a nostalgia pipe is the concept of minimalism. Seeing a Raspberry Pi blinking a LED light as part of a project is infuriating to me. Using an Arduino UNO is at least 4 times better.

Furthermore, projects like Mister utilizing a powerful FPGA actually recreate systems is reassuring. It only devolves to a state where actual innovations are made. All of this provides access to young programmers so the ends justified the means.
