@quilnux @Phil okay, thank you. shared this with my friend, who is helping fund our little project. until we can get our hands on a SHARC DSP board, i'm going to develop on a less powerful Blackfin one. the DSP code is currently running on a computer but we need a prototype in metal so we can demonstrate a working product.

Aside from TI, a FPGA might be a good choice.
