If you are driving a convertible and have the top up today, heaven help you, you have bought the wrong car.
The only excuse I will accept is that the mechanism for putting it down is broken, and you are on your way to get it fixed.
@rdviii A convertible will weigh more and have worse performance due to lessened body rigidity and worse distribution of force. A proper tubular steel roll cage would help to reduce the handicap especially in corners.
