in English, "small" is the same thing as "little"

in Norwegian, "smal" means narrow

it's close, but not the same.

this is how Norwegians tend to approach English. lots of things in common, but they don't mean the same thing. it helps but it's also confusing at times.

@thor Norwegians don't say much compared to Swedes but they convey more with less words. That's just been my experience interacting in American English.

The Swedes do seem to have less of an accent with a more colorful vocabulary. IE, Norwegians are better Engineers and Swedes are better for selling things. Also Norwegians seem to speak their mind instead of dicking around with useless pleasantries. It's very respectable.
