Electronics from the 90s and 00s don't feel like they've become collector's items yet. But there are signs that Gen Z has the same nostalgia for that era that Gen Y has for the 70s and 80s.

@thor There where arcades with really amazing games. House of the Dead, Area 51 and San Francisco Rush were a lot of fun. Playing Tekken while two hormone charged teens were having a good time in a dimly lit arcade. Brightly colored candy that was very expensive and tasted terrible. Apparently the candy was illegal too.

They were truly magical times.

@AmpBenzScientist I feel that it's starting to come to computers a bit. People are actually collecting beige boxes now. Computers once considered ugly.

@AmpBenzScientist The 90s are closer a pop culture renaissance than the 00s. The 90s are very overdue for one. A-teens from 1998 was a revival of ABBA, who had their first major hit in 1974. It's often in 20- or 30-year cycles.

@AmpBenzScientist You started to get some interest in the 1980s around the turn of the millennium, but it took a while for it to really take off. Go back a decade and you didn't have stuff like vaporwave or Kung Fury.
