Right now on CSPAN is a re-run of some kind of faux gravitas "hearing" staged by The Heritage Foundation digging into the assassination attempt on Trump.

After blaming both incompetence and DEI (including a complaint about an agent taking time to breast feed) the chairman flat out said that funding should be cut, that the only way to get their attention is to cut the funding--then added he'd like to do that with the entire government.

Bottom line, folks--anti-American.
