So, this is significantly beyond my ability, both financially and logistically. And maybe that's why it's not being done. But as a Linux user, I have come to greatly appreciate the idea of free and open source software. I wonder if anything similar could be applied to education for our children. Textbooks that are written by open-source authors, lessons on laptops that use open source software and operating systems, and teachers that have an ethic that is not determined by teachers' unions.

@hammersthors it’s being carried on to your children because some do care about it, like me, but some honestly couldn’t care and there isn’t much you can do about it. As for teachers, they will stay the same until they get a bigger paycheck.
