...come to think of it, there's not an onus on me to be needlessly professional as the interviewee in a research interview is there?

I'm not gonna show up and drop F-bombs and stuff because I don't roll that way anyway, but there's definitely a more serious tone I can take.

Then again, credibility ... academia ties credibility and presentation together a lot needlessly.

@trysdyn if you're the manager, you want to do your best to display the culture that your workplace has. That way, the interviee can gave a somewhat accurate idea of what he/she is getting into.
