Take vitamin D everyone! It's cheap, and it does no harm even if you don't need it. Deficiency is common, and it pretty clearly protects against covid 19.

@zillion very high doses for a long time can cause kidney damage and other issues. Most people are deficient, but it doesn't hurt to ask a nurse or medical provider if you are taking a lot.

@Demosthenes 4000 IU is the safe upper limit according to the Institute of Medicine (IOM). Make sure not to take more than that without consulting with a health professional.

I take 400 IU.
