@nate_river no.
@Demosthenes I also thought not. I think it would be disrespectful to maps to consider this kinkshaming. But it is still something worth discussing.
@nate_river it would be disrespectful to kinks.
@nate_river it's sexual deviancy. Deviant because it's harmful to society if acted out.
I've said it before. I feel sorry for MAPs, it must suck a lot. But they shouldn't have the capacity to form support structures amongst themselves, because the harmful fringes of the group will inevitably take over sometimes.
@Demosthenes "I've said it before. I feel sorry for MAPs, it must suck a lot."
I don't want u to feel sorry for me. I want u to feel sorry just for the maps who suffer because of the attraction.
I have passed this stage of suffering for my attraction and having pedophilic disorder. Now when I suffer it is for things that are obvious to those who have this condition.
What I want from you is respect. Respect for who I am, respect when I talk about my condition, respect when I express myself about it.
@Demosthenes This is not harmful to society if the person acts on it. For there are several ways to act on this that are not considered abuse or a form of exploitation. Therefore, you cannot consider this a sexual deviation.
And even if some bad-intentioned people "take advantage" of the movement, that is no excuse either. The movement ensures rights that all MAPs (regardless of intentionality) should have.
That would be like... defending someone's human rights, but not defending a crime.
I think this comparison is not a good one, but it is the best one I found to try to define what I wanted to say.
