@sev its shocking to me that the democrats would go to war in order to gain complete control. This whole thing is unnecessary. If they'd have tried to calm people down and signal that they'd introduce voter reform laws, I bet things could have deescalated.

@Demosthenes You’re absolutely right, but incentives being what they are, what’s unnecessary in the grand scheme might seem deeply necessary to the person holding some semblance of authority.
