Heads up: PLoS One appears to have completely imploded. We had a paper accepted in August, proofs in September, and yet the paper hasn’t even been publicly registered as accepted yet.

We have sent multiple emails to the editorial office asking for updates and they refuse to reply to any of them. It’s like no one works there anymore.

Anyone else having bad experiences with them?

@tdverstynen @PLOS We had an issue with PLoS Genetics a while back. It took a while to get reviews back, and when we contacted the editor about addressing reviewer comments, the editor never responded. We wound up submitting to another journal.
