This poll is just for "fun" as people can lie, even too themselves, on questionnaires.
How much money would it take for you to lie on social media about the #science of #climate change? (the currency is dollars [$] or equivalent)
Select the last option if "No amount of money" would make you "sell" your "soul" to the "devil"
#politics #economy #business #democracy #sustainability #socialpsychology
I can't argue with that logic! However, I think most people will get the general gist.
@Empiricism_Reloaded Guess I am #undiagnosedautistic 😁
Seriously though, any psychological diagnosis is comparing an individual's behaviors to a perceived "normal".
It's quite common ("Normal") for people to not study ecology or climatology and yet to have very strong politically motivated opinions about these subjects.
It's quite normal to see adults sitting around campfires inhaling smoke pollution.
"normal" isn't better than!
@Empiricism_Reloaded
Can you do the next poll for how much you'd be willing to lose in net worth (retirement savings, house value) in order to achieve zero emission?
I have written an easy-to-follow guidance on how I want to live in a sustainable culture. This is what I want https://qoto.org/@Empiricism_Reloaded/110511036586999020
You're conflating (imprinting) your own agenda with mine. I realize that many are not motivated to reduce their own greenhouse gas emitting activities.
@Empiricism_Reloaded
Perhaps my suggestion was worded improperly. I was attempting to formulate a negative version of your poll, since humans perceive losses 2x as strong as gains.
Oh Ok. And a fair point on the gains Vs losses heuristic.
@Empiricism_Reloaded 5M. I would invest some in promotion of scientific methods, education on positive criticism and green energies.
@Empiricism_Reloaded - I generally find it hard to lie… The option “No amount…” could mean someone would lie for free 😆
