#weird #uncomfortable #TwitterMigration #BlockingAndSilencing here’s something weird: there are (two) people joining Mastodon from Twitter that blocked me on Twitter years ago. I don’t know why they blocked me on Twitter but they did. They have not blocked me here (yet?). Maybe they don’t realize it or maybe they don’t even remember why they blocked me in the first place. Should I not follow them or Fav their posts out of respect for the block? Or should I assume a diplomatic reset?

They might be giving you grace because they think you will be more circumspect on Mastodon.

@EubieDrew circumspect is an interesting word. I would say I’m not very circumspect on the internet, and only slightly circumspect in face to face interactions. It feels like a trait well-suited to a diplomat, which I am not. I’m more inclined to wear my heart on my sleeve than anything.
