At the very least, I’m not sold on the value of complexity in note-taking

@baldur Totally agree. A directory of markdown text notes/files is just about what one needs. Potentially structured and/or in a git repo, but that's about it. Or anything else equivalent - e.g., a plain wiki or such. Whatever fancy tooling around is just as you say: fog.

@baldur it's the writing where the value lies, not in the tooling around it.
