I simply cannot get enough of this story (“ #JDVance buys donuts in Holt’s Sweet Shop in Valdosta #Georgia”) #Weird

Via Conor Rogers:

This is possibly the worst advance work I’ve ever seen

- staff wasn’t briefed and doesn’t know who he is
- staff declines to be seen on camera
- principal (JD) doesn’t know how or what to order
- dead silence between stilted questions
- no supporters included for filler

@GottaLaff The GOP pols are all so low-prep. They were raised so catered-to, it doesn’t occur to them that *they* might have to do *homework*.

(EWBS- Entitled White Boy Syndrome 🙄)

@heartofcoyote I was thinking exactly the same thing. Advisors might have told him “We need to do some prep work first,” and Vance probably said “Nah everything will be fine.”

@JamesHMcLaren @heartofcoyote

I'm willing to bet his advisors were anticipating his response and didn't want to imply he's unfit by suggesting that he should prepare.

JD is the kid that threatened you and copied your homework before class. Like seagulls to a trash boat, he's surrounded himself with people who will do anything to remain in proximity to his money -- he's not about to start studying now.

@RnDanger @heartofcoyote Yes, I imagine working for people like Vance and Trump is a lot like managing a bunch of 10 year olds. You have to manipulate them into thinking whatever it is you want them to do is their idea.
