The Financial Conduct Authority has received its first 'super complaint' in over a decade of being empowers to investigate them.

Its from the Federation of Small Business asking the FCA to investigate (with the aim of stopping) required guarantees from small business owners (with most often a charge on their own home; i.e. home as security for loan).

The issue ie is the distribution of risk... which likely the FSB sees as too much in bankers' favour (which would reflect a more general pattern)

Well the answer is we don't know for the FCA & as you will see the guidance provided offers no real indication of duration... other than they will need time to collect evidence
