Now he talks about software. I happen to know a lot about software & Elon Musk is saying the stupidest shit I've ever heard anyone say, so when people say he's a genius I figure I should stay the hell away from his cars and rockets.

@rodhilton , his cars are the best mass produced cars in the world. If you can afford one, you will be satisfied with it. When the used ones hit the market, maybe others will be happy too. I won't buy one, I disagree with the no right to repair policies that Tesla has. But, without doubt, they are fantastic cars.

Space X rockets have cut the cost of getting into low earth orbit, and is the only man rated system America currently has. They are fantastic systems.

You didn't mention Pay Pal, but once again, fantastic.

That record has nothing to do with Musk being a terrible person, and a horrible choice for social media. Nor does his abject failure at Twitter say anything about any other businesses he ran.

@resuna @rodhilton , and some years consumer reports does. And when a Tesla isn't top of the list, it's because consumer reports didn't like the stitching on the seat covers.

@JonKramer @resuna@libranet.de @rodhilton Without paying for stories, I can see they've been rated among the best EVs in the past, but EVs in the past have been pretty shite because no major auto makers actually cared. And I'll give them some credit for making car companies care... but all the recent public facing documents seem to say that they are less reliable than the average car.

Best EV, maybe, but "best mass produced car"? Not even.
