It looks like Jack Smith got 50 pages of Trump’s lawyer’s notes—this after convincing a D.C. judge that the crime-fraud exception applies…because Trump likely committed obstruction.

That’s two federal judges who have agreed that Trump likely is a criminal.

Grand jury up next.

Tick tick, Donald.

@georgetakei It's a race, at this point. Can he be indicted before the presidential election gets too close?

@toxtethogrady @georgetakei , I think the reason for the delays are that they want to avoid any charges, and are dragging it out until they can say "he can't be charged while a candidate/in office."

@JonKramer @toxtethogrady @georgetakei Not an American so asking why would being a candidate give him or anyone else immunity from prosecution? Is it a free ‘get out of jail’ ticket? No one is or should be above the law.

@Caledonia @toxtethogrady @georgetakei , the law is pretty clear, that no one is above the law. In practice, we have a caste system, and trump is in the caste that the law doesn't touch, at least criminally. This is pretty much limited to the ultra rich, and people in politics nationally. Our current investigations of him are extended every time something new is found out, and will be until he dies of old age.
