For as long as I can remember, politicians have been promising to involve the government in negotiating down the cost of prescription drugs. Now, the Biden Administration has finally achieved that goal. Medicare has announced it will negotiate prices on 10 popular prescription drugs, making them more affordable. Joe Biden is getting the job done. And we, the voters, should support him to finish the job.

@alanrycroft @georgetakei we Democrats make two huge mistakes in every political thread.

1) We eat our own
2) We conflate rational, reasonable, incremental progress with total inaction.

Let's not do either.

@LadyDragonfly @alanrycroft @georgetakei These 1st ten drug price negotiations take place in 2026. With over 20,000 drugs currently on the market, it is well over 1000 years until we negotiate for universal price controls.

There will be far more than the 10 or 15 negotiated drugs created per year... This isn't incremental progress, it is merely a slowing of the retardation of fair market pricing.
