You've probably seen Thomas explanation for why he did not disclose lavish travel provided by billionaire Harlan Crow.
But legal ethics experts we consulted said the law clearly requires that gifts of transportation, including private jet flights, be disclosed. If Thomas is arguing otherwise, the experts said, he is incorrect.

@ProPublica Incorrect? Can we not safely conclude that a Supreme Court justice knows what the law is? I doubt he's making an error.
@JoshuaSharp @ProPublica What's weird is that per the article he's not even claiming he thought he didn't have to report it; he's claiming he was told the gifts in question were "not reportable."
That doesn't make sense in ANY context.
