I keep seeing reviews about #Oppenheimer complaining that it didn't tell the whole story.

Yes, I absolutely do understand the historians' impulse to critique it for the history it didn't show.

But it is very clear from the title alone that it's a biopic about J. Robert Oppenheimer's personal involvement in the Manhattan Project.

It is absurd to be "distressed" over a movie not being a documentary about the Manhattan Project when that was very obviously not its goal in the first place.

@JoshuaSharp I *loved* it! Have you seen it yet? It's a level of artistry I didn't really expect from Nolan.

@JoshuaSharp I did the whole Barbenheimer thing. Bit of a wacky juxtaposition but it actually worked.

But yeah, Oppenheimer was incredible. I'm told that I'm being unfair but I just did not expect that from Nolan at all.
