Allegations were extremely shaky, the feminist VAs stirred the pot a lot, said VAs are basically married to Funi higher ups and Vic was dropped immediately after said allegations

An anti-defamation lawsuit started, which is notoriously hard to win in the US. Case was rejected, but man, the bullshit that happened in between, oof

There was some huge attempts to defame his character with the most bullshit of allegations
- Clip of Vic doing some voice from his character in Ouran Host Club, this show is Fujo bait so fujo asked him to say some spicy lines and this was spun against him
- Some VA bullshit where some VA name was written on a jellybean and he ate it, saying "I ate ____", this was taken as harassment and this was listed in the fucking lawsuit from the other lawyer
- Him licking a fan's hand. Except the fan asked for it because she made a bet with her friend
- Vic is a generally touchy-feely kinda guy, usually hugging and kissing people on the cheeks without asking. I believe some picture of a fan was used against him but the fan herself came and told 'em to fuck off
- Vic has some longstanding rumours of fans being seen sneaking in his rooms, so him possible fucking fans. The thing is, I've heard that rumour like 12 years ago on 4chan's /cgl/ board, even back then it was hearsay and not first account telling. You know how bad the telephone game can go. This is hardly proof of anything but it's taken as the primary evidence of Vic being a shithead

At some point the bullshit got too much to handle and I wasn't able to follow GG 2.0. Something about Vic maybe kissing a VA or some bullshit, because Vic is kind of a huge chad

Then you also have to consider that Vic is a Christian. He voiced some gay guy in Tsubasa Chronicles IIRC. Vic insist the character isn't gay, but Clamp said he was. So this kinda thing in the past is a prime cancellation candidate

There was also some rape accusation, something about french kissing an underaged person, in which the accusation is actually pretty old. But said accuser is literally a tumblr feminist and her accounts of where it took place seems shaky and doesn't seem to align right with where he was at that time. And that's literally the worst accusation I remember

So, basically, exactly like GG you had supposed professionals going absolutely bonkers on twitter. Evidently, fighting people on twitter will get you people fighting back, so a bunch of these VAs were vile as fuck for a while. And evidently, this was taken as "proof" that Vic fans are vile

I remember the Inu-Yasha VA writing about kicking the balls of people that were asking for proof and didn't simply believe women, real classy

And then that Monica something, the bulma VA and one of those VA feminist, copy pasting some some hilarious line under every twitter comment critical of her saying that's going to the lawsuit or some bullshit, it was meme'd on

Some other Feminist VA got some female fan writing something about how this kinda bullshit isn't helping real victim (which she was one), and the VA basically responded with something saying she hopes she gets raped

Anyways, you get the story. It was real classy stuff. Me not caring about stupid dub VA got my popcorn going, but the gaslighting from the anti-side reminded me too much of GG and the bullshit around it so I quit following, because that's just fucking depressing man

@coolboymew @redneonglow @tharsis Vic has been a creep for 20 years. He was notorious for collecting fans and taking them to dinner to “evangelize” when I was doing con circuits artist alleys in late 2000’s. This isn’t to discount the general story but I hate that guy

@coolboymew @redneonglow @Moon @rw @tharsis I don't know a whole lot about Vic, but my main gripe about that whole story is how easily all the initial evidence from the ANN article fell apart, and that it was only the latest in a string of poorly researched stories that month alone. They just published altered photos provided to them by an outside source, and they never even saw the unaltered versions let alone bothered to get the stories behind them. Then Vic got me too'd by friends that were on great terms with him up until a few weeks before about events that happened years before then. If you look at juvenile cases like Rial, there's no reason you would be on their side, even if you aren't on Vic's side either. To me, VA land just seems like a whole other world altogether that I never want to visit.

@coolboymew Yeah, those photos were the thing that started it all, so I'm a bit surprised that Vic was willing to go after his employers, but not ANN for that initial article that went viral.

I will never forget that article where multiple writer rated Shield Hero, they all lost their shit because politics. In the show, the Shield Hero gets falsely accused of rape, so this triggered their politics giving it really bad ratings, like "trashfire/5", IIRC a lot of their editors went on twitter going around saying women don,t make false accusation like these

And then, not even a week after, an ANN editor, if not outright the current owner, had to go and write an article about a woman who keeps harassing him and keeps saying false accusation
