A woman with a 1944 Brogan Doodlebug, a unique three-wheeled microcar known for its efficiency.

The vehicle was designed by John Brogan in 1944. It was powered by a 10-horsepower engine and could reach a top speed of 45 mph.

The microcar was highly fuel-efficient, capable of traveling nearly 70 miles on one gallon of gas. Its compact design made it suitable for both urban transport and light utility tasks, serving civilian and military needs during World War II.

The product of a wistful and nostalgic age..

lots of idealists, but it'd never make it past the safety regulators (and regulations!) of today. It'd be interesting in a rollover situation, for example.. no ROPS.

Another interesting sideshow from this same era.. They had no lack of hucksters and eccentric visionaries back then.. and the public at the time just lapped it up.
