Oh fuck me, taking off and cleaning a wheel on #Dreame L9 (or was it L10?) requires removing both the bottom _and_ the top panels, which means undoing the cabling and separating the lidar from the mobo, and also requires removing the bumper, and the battery, and like... that's the whole robot? And most naturally, the bottom panel is held by a sealed warranty screw xDD

Whoever designed this... Well, I don't like you:)

@L29Ah

It runs some ancient rootfs from dontvacuum.me with a bunch of upstream "inshallah it's isolated good enough" binaries and a Valetudo instance, the latter being a frontend for the executables and about as FOSS as something packaged with yarn can be.

I put it into a separate WiFi too, without internet access. That said, my internet-connected WiFi is open for any practical purposes, so nothing in principle prevents the robot from connecting to that and spoofing the MAC that I use for filtering. Haven't noticed it in the logs though

Rather unsatisfying of course. But oh well what's the worst thing that can happen, it uploads to chinacloud a video of me crying naked on the floor or screaming Chechen terrorist songs? Not nearly as embarrassing as my unfinished PhD. Or my masters for that matter
