My prediction is that the concept of a distro is going to die in the coming months. You're gonna be expected to build all your dependencies and kernels from source if you want to make it in the brave new post AI CVE world.
Automate everything away. Build everything from source. Only depend on what you need. Distros and docker made us sloppy and lazy. Start understanding the fucking Shit you're using in production and build bespoke systems.
If you're not using Gentoo or something Nix based you're not gonna make it
@arianvp, haven't used Debian for quite sometime but isn't patching packages as trivial as apt-get source, apply the patches, then dpkg-buildpackage?
